Inspect the selected server
Monitoring surfaces can show CPU, memory, disk, network, uptime and connection information. Available measurements depend on the remote operating system, account permissions and enabled tools. Supported agentless operations obtain information through an authorized connection rather than requiring you to assume a monitoring agent is installed.
These are observations of a remote machine, not a guarantee that every application on it is healthy.
Review metrics and processes
- Connect to the intended host and open its monitoring or process tool where available.
- Confirm the host name and whether the connection is active.
- Refresh the view when checking a new incident.
- Use process filtering and sorting to narrow the list rather than acting on a familiar name alone.
- Before any process or service action, verify the target, account permissions and consequences.
A view showing No samples, an unavailable measurement or an error is not equivalent to zero resource usage. Treat stale or missing information as unknown and corroborate important findings through another authorized view.
Sampling and privacy
Supported sampling controls are under Settings → Help & Diagnostics. More frequent collection can increase work and traffic; choose a rate appropriate to the machine and task.
Server monitoring is different from optional product-usage telemetry. Process names, paths and command arguments can themselves reveal sensitive information. Review screenshots and copied diagnostics before sharing them.
Where container or operations tools are enabled, their commands still act with the selected account's permissions. Do not treat an operational button as a reversible preview. See optional team and integration tools and troubleshooting for related guidance.
